SOME GENERAL RULES ABOUT BRUSH CARE
Avoid getting paint in the heel of the brush (the end end of the bristles near the ferrule).
Clean brushes
promptly
at the end of a painting session. (One exception: If using Genesis colors you can clean the brushes at any time.)
If painting in acrylics, suspend the brush in water when it is not in use. (But
never
stand it
on
its bristles.)
Reshape the brush to its original form and let it dry before putting it away.
